Question

I sent a PC to my friend via a parcel service courier. Although the PC was damaged in transit, the courier refused to compensate for my loss. May I get the compensation from the courier?

 

 

Answer

Before sending goods via a parcel service courier, a consumer should be cautious for packing fragile items like PC. In case the package was broken even though extra packing materials were placed, a consumer might get a compensation based on the declared amount on the invoice. If a consumer has not declared the price of package, he/she might have difficulties in claiming a compensation for broken goods. Therefore, it is important for a consumer to present an exact amount of the package when using a parcel service courier.
