Refund request for canceled flight due to weather condition

Case summary:

A foreign consumer booked a round ticket for KMI (Miyazaki) – ICN (Incheon), operated by a Korean LCC, and paid JPY 19,770 with his credit card. Due to unexpected weather condition (typhoon), however, the air carrier canceled the return flight for ICN – KMI. Hence the consumer requested the Korean LCC to make a refund for the unused flight ticket. Since the refund had been delayed, he called us for help.

Final outcome:

We, on behalf of the foreign consumer, reached out and advised the Korean LCC to make a justifiable refund for the troubled booking. Eventually the consumer was given a refund of JPY 11,190 for the unused flight ticket.
