Chinese consumers have been very satisfied with Korean online shopping malls
KCA has conducted a survey on 1,000 Chinese consumers who have purchased goods thru Korean online shopping malls over the last 12 months. According to the survey, the Chinese consumers, in general, have been very satisfied with their online shopping experiences.
The Chinese consumers responded that quality of goods was the most popular reason they used Korean online shopping malls (58.0%). The next common reasons for shopping thru Korean online shopping malls were credibility of authentication (49.8%) and variety of goods (48.6%).
But some of the Chinese shoppers replied that they have had unpleasant experiences during their shopping including delays or delivery faults (32.8%), refusals to refund or exchange (29.4%), excessive shipping charges or other expenses (27.9%), etc.
The survey also revealed that the most popular items for the Chinese consumers in Korean online shopping malls were cosmetics (76.9%), garments (53.2%), bags & wallets (36.7%), etc. 99% of the respondents said they would revisit Korean online shopping malls.
In the meantime, KCA found out that the Chinese consumers surveyed have visited Korean online shopping malls 32 times per year and spent an average of 190,000 won per visit (up to 6,000,000 won), but only 48.8% of them have been satisfied with compensation issued by Korean online shopping malls.
